Newcrest is the largest gold producer listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and one of the world's largest gold mining companies. The 2021 Annual Reporting suite was an important milestone for the business as they celebrated 30 years of being listed on the ASX.
FY21 was another strong year for Newcrest with positive results across the board, and the announcement of their commitment to a Net Zero Carbon emissions roadmap. Designate were tasked with creating a reporting suite that balanced their positive financial and operational disclosures, with their strengthened ambitions to create a world-class, sustainable and ethical mining business.
In an industry that is shrinking year-on-year, Newcrest is growing as a stable long-life miner. We took the opportunity to highlight their 30 years of responsible growth story through bold and impactful data visualisation, emphasising each asset and promoting their future aspirations within their strategy. With renewed ambitions for their sustainability goals and values in mind, we helped Newcrest to demonstrate how they have made positive contributions towards their material topics, emphasising the stability and safety of operations with a focus on all stakeholders, creating a long term positive impact for local communities and society as a whole.
We created a dedicated Annual Report Microsite within the Newcrest Investor Centre, to provide summary information, highlights and downloads. The Microsite provides Newcrest with data to help them understand and analyse the requirements of their investor audience, whilst providing a hub for information and updates to content.
